After completing a B-tech National in Business and Finance at Chepstow Comprehensive School, Simon had strong desires to become a professional rugby player. He played semi-professional rugby for Pontypool and UWIC whilst undertaking a degree of Sport and Human Movement Studies at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff. Whilst at university, Simon represented Welsh students and Welsh universities before an injury brought an abrupt end to his playing career.
Once the degree was completed, Simon undertook a personal training course and left Cardiff for London where he worked for two years training and rehabilitating people at a health club in Kingston. It was at this point that Simon found Chiropractic. After a talk from a Doctor of Chiropractic, it ignited a passion which made Simon leave London and embark on four-years of training at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, Glamorgan. This was an intense, in-depth 4-years which was "thoroughly enjoyable". Simon says "I believe everyone can benefit from chiropractic care and it is everyone’s right to aim to achieve their optimum health. Ridgeway Chiropractic offers a unique opportunity to enjoy my passion whilst working alongside a team who are all dedicated to achieving the wellness of patients".
Simon enjoys keeping fit and weight training in his spare time as well as spending quality time with friends and family.
